Class Description
*Please note: all participants must wear masks.
Students will learn the basics of linocut printmaking by creating block stamps. We will learn how to use the Speedball linocut carving tools with easy carve linoleum blocks. Designs will start simple and increase in complexity throughout the class period as the students get more comfortable using their tools. We will implement the methods for drawing, transferring, carving and printing an image with linoleum. Instructions for class procedures will also be written on the board as well as verbally addressed by the instructor.

General Supplies listed below:
**1 Set of Speedball Linoleum Cutters: must include handle and at least 5 lino cutters
2 Easy carve Linoleum blocks (pink) sizes 3”x 4” or 4”x 6”
**1 Pad Printmaking Paper, size 8”x10” or 9”x12”
**1 Graphite Pencil (mechanical or regular number two pencil)
1 Lino Bench Hook/Inking plate (metal): at least 7”x8” in size
Snack and water Apron / Cover shirt (optional)
**The Drawing Studio's Open Print Lab will provide the following tools for FREE: speedball linoleum cutter, pencil, paper
